I was there about a year ago and didn't love it. I'll try again, though I'm still running vegan pizza. they had no whole lottery, which is for me.
I had lunch today (in hilton only on the road, so 5 minutes to foot or about 5 minutes from the twinbrook subway station). I find it strange that they call it a vegetarian restaurant while they still sell fish. the side, they have a lot of options and can make quite anything vegan. I had a calzone pretty good. I'd probably go back.
This place is very comforting in that they did their ingredients and know their menu. So when they go to a vegetarian restaurant (almost all veg has fish) like this, they know they can order vegan products and be confident that they are vegan. the menu is enormous and has great potential for veganization! I was glad to know about this place because there are really no more many veg*n restaurants in this opposite. because of this veg*n (almost 100 restaurant, I am happier. it is a strange combination of food choices, and I think it is more like a veg*n diner than how they advertise themselves. either so I love this veg*n restaurant so comfort (repetitive feeling at eating there!) they have a good choice of suppening, lots of pizza (baked cheese and gluten-free crusts, as well as vegan full wheat crusts) and calzone (love these! many mexi styles eat foods (quesadillas and burritos,) pasta dishes, faux meats the people here are super nice. the ambiente is again like a veg*n (almost 100 diner very open feeling, but no focus on decor. low key selection for a fast grinding time. eating is fresh and satisfying, but I can't say it's 5-star food. it is great for what it is a veg*n enclave (has fish in a sea of non-veg*n eateries where veg*ns can search for cursed. I would be happy to go over 99% of the restaurants in this Rockville area every day of the week. if they are Veg*n, I support that they support this site! updated by the previous review on Monday, 30 December 2013
As a vegan I was excited to try the vegan pizza, before heading to &pizza as per usual. My mistake. 14 inch Pizza was $23 and $3 for any topping, including DRIED basil herb and jalapeños from a jar….atmosphere of the restaurant could use some upgrades; basement like smell, plastic cups, motel inspired paintings and I was asked to put away my reusable water bottle I had with me…still trying to figure that one out. Yes, lots of vegan options, but will not be coming back.
