Food was overpriced and mediocre, staff, although attentive, seemed to lack an understanding of the menu or the operations of the restaurant. I know understand why the place was only 20% full on a Sunday night at dinner time. We won't be returning.
Definitely better than my last Matchbox (Ashburn, VA) experience. The zero proof dragonfruit mojito was amazing. The shrimp po' boy was tasty and the shrimp were cooked to perfection; but it was way too big to eat as a sandwich. The side apple pear salad was amazing as well.
Still with the hamburgers. Tuna salad was poor, tuna not seared drowned in dressing and the extras in the salad were skimpy. The grilled cheese was mostly bread and not much cheese. Burgers were good. Waiter never came around to ask how everything was, so no chance to express issues with tuna salad.
Food was great, lemonades a little too sweet and service was good but took a little bit longer than usual for the food to arrive to the table, even though there was only a few tables at that time
Avoid Matchbox for a holiday because staff is easily overwhelmed and you may not even get your drink until your meal is almost over! Most dishes good with a few duds and a few expensive dishes where portions are stingy fir the higher price! We hadn't been since before the pandemic and it was a bit of a disappointment.
