I was thrilled to discover a new place in the DMV area where I can enjoy a CA burrito! Let's Taco, located in Pike's Kitchen, offers a variety of Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, elote, rice/beans, carne asada fries, Mexican dip sandwich, and birria ramen and pizza. Ordering over the phone was easy and my food was ready shortly after the estimated time. I tried their CA burrito, which was delicious and reminded me of San Diego with its flavorful carne asada, fries, cheese, pico de gallo, and avocado crema. I also sampled the mar y tierra burrito, which had carne asada, grilled shrimp, cheese, chipotle crema, and guacamole - it was good but I preferred the CA burrito. I also ordered the churros with dulce de leche, which were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly coated in cinnamon. They were so good that the dip wasn't even necessary. Don't miss out on this dessert when you visit Let's Taco. I will definitely be returning, especially for Taco Tuesday where you can get 3 tacos for $9.99. I can't wait to try their fish and quesabirria tacos next time.
I wanted to love it. It's a strong 3.5 for me. We got a shrimp taco, 2 carne asada tacos, steak/asada quesadilla and chips and salsa. The good: 1) They make their chips and tortillas themselves 2) Their chips are thicker, so you can scoop up that homemade salsa and guac easily without breaking them 3) The Shrimp taco was delicious. My favorite of the whole meal. It had a hint of sweetness to it also. The bad: 1) The steak they use for their tacos and quesadillas is grisly. We had many pieces of hard fatty beef we had to spit out. Each taco had at least one piece and the quesadilla has several. Maybe if we tried a different meat, we'd have enjoyed it much more. 2) The blue corn tortillas for the asada tacos were really dry 3) The asada tacos (I ordered the way they come no changes). Were spicy (good) but dry and needed more toppings. Not moist at all, unlike the shrimp ones which were moist and great. 4) The asada quesadilla was flavorful, but again, grisly meat and pretty greasy. So bottom line? LOVED the shrimp taco. Loved their chips and salsa. Wouldn't do anything asada there again. BUT I would consider trying them again with a different meat choice just to update this review. And we want to try the Elote street corn.
Let's Taco is inside Pike Kitchen. Not exactly Asian food, but who cares? It is DEELISHUSS! Holy cow! I got the homemade chips y salsa, a Pescado Burrito, and an order of 3 churros. The chips were still warm, thicker than usual, and matched the homemade salsa perfectly. The burrito is unique because they sear some Monterey Jack on the outside of the tortilla, which is interesting, but it's also stuffed with battered catfish, avocado, cabbage, chile crema pico de gallo. And the churros smelled so good in the car, there was only one-and-a-half left when we got home! I love Pike Kitchen, and I'm gonna be stopping at Let's Taco first from now on. Give this place a try, it's yummy!
This is the best fish taco I have had in DC; NOVA; MD; and perhaps anywhere. If you are a fish taco person this place is your spot. Their fish taco has an actual small filet of crispy white fish; shredded lettuce; and a ton of different sauces to try however the sauce they are dousing it with is phenomenal. I won't be going anywhere else for a fish taco. Worth a commute to Rockville for sure.
