Jonathan's A Publick House - Rockville

This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem! I discovered it after a concert at Fitzgerald Theater, and it exceeded my expectations. The bartending staff was fantastic—very welcoming and polite. It’s definitely a place we’ll make sure to visit before and after shows whenever we're back in Maryland!

This classic neighborhood bar and pub has a charming atmosphere where friendly locals come together. Many patrons are familiar with one another and share warm greetings. They offer a good selection of beers on tap and in bottles, along with a variety of other alcoholic beverages. The food is excellent, especially the amazing fries and delicious baked tilapia.

This is a welcoming neighborhood bar with fantastic staff and affordable beer—just $3.50 for a draft. They also offer an excellent selection of bottled beers, like Shiner Bock. The place is clean and a popular spot among locals, featuring a great lineup of TVs for sports fans. Jonathan's food is decent, though surprisingly pricey, which seems to be a trend these days because of inflation. Chelsea crafts some amazing cocktails and is our favorite server. Don't miss out on their pie selection—only $4.50 for a whole pie or $5.00 for a slice of cake!

A Five Star bar all around!!! Decided to stop in and check out Jonathan’s and man was I blown away! I love the “local, no frills” feel of this bar! It’s a bare bones, just amazing place! The service here is phenomenal, the lady who bartends was born to do it! The drinks are generous and potent (you will get your money’s worth), the food was good, I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was amazing (the fries were especially crispy and hot), plenty of tv’s to watch whatever sporting event is on, and just when you think you’ve seen everything, the place explodes and all the locals show up and the party gets started! Everyone was super friendly, and what started as me coming in just to grab a beer, ended up being one of the best times I’ve had at a bar ever!! I can’t wait to get back to Jonathan’s!!

Best place to get lit for cheap. Bartenders are some of the most friendly ever. Good is surprisingly delicious too. They have a nice full bar, anything you need. Their single shots are like double of all other places. Update: Their shots of 1800 went from $8 to $13 so that kinda sucked of but at least the shots are still healthy
