Baronessa Italian Restaurant

Stopped in while in the Rockville area. Super low-key place. Service was nice, ambiance was casual. The complementary bread was not great. That being said, got the margherita and mushroom pizza. They were excellent. Outstanding crust and tasted authentic. I would highly recommend stopping in for the pizza if you want quick, high quality pizza in a highly casual environment.

While we typically order takeout from this restaurant about once a month, today was our first experience dining in. The food was outstanding, and the service was prompt, thanks to our attentive and polite waiter. I enjoyed the manicotti, while my wife and daughter both opted for the pasta with vodka sauce. We will definitely be back soon!

This was our first time dining at Baronessa, and we absolutely loved the experience! We will definitely be back. The service was outstanding, the food was incredibly delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant has an elegant yet local ambiance, accentuated by beautiful murals of Italy. A big shout-out to Owner/Chef Angel and his team for the fantastic culinary experience they have created.

This was my first time at the restaurant, and I ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer. I was pleasantly surprised by how fluffy and crispy the bread was—it wasn't soggy at all. The bread basket was also delightful. For my main course, I tried the seafood risotto, which featured jumbo shrimp. The shrimp were enormous—five pieces in the whole dish! While I would have liked a bit more variety, such as shellfish and scallops, it was still satisfying. However, the onions were a bit too chunky, and the tomatoes and mushrooms were cut too large, which disrupted the creamy texture I love in risotto. Despite that, it was still delicious. My partner had the eggplant Parmesan for lunch, and when I tried a bite, I actually preferred it to my dish! The marinara sauce was light and flavorful, and the eggplant was tender and not overly greasy, with a nice crunch from the breadcrumbs. I can't wait to enjoy the leftovers at home!

I had no pizza in a while. I drive after a living, and bless good quality Italian food all once in a while. I read Baronessas' positive reviews and thought I'd give him a shot. I ordered her oven Angelos special pizza. When the food was handed over to me, I thought it was a mistake. The box was too small for a $18 dinner size pizza. I saw in and this sweet little guy whipped me. The pizza was hot and fresh, ingredients were quality as advertised. In terms of taste and texture, easily one of the better slices of pizza I ever had. I understand that times have changed and costs are rising. It seems that at this price they could make a somewhat bigger pizza. I'll be back, maybe try some other lunch deals.
