This is not a dine-in restaurant, however, you can order online (or in-person) and there are lots of tables (with gorgeous views of the bay) in addition to a quaint patio (with seating) with impeccable views. You can eat there if you don't mind sacrificing nice plates and glasses for take-out plates/glasses for a beautiful experience! My family ordered take-out and while we were waiting we played some music and brought our own bottle of wine. We ordered samosas, papad, various chutneys, raita, and three entrees plus additional rice. We LOVED the food. It was some of the best Indian food we have had in a very long time! It was so flavorful and obviously fresh. We met the mother and daughter (who cooked for us) and who were very kind. We bought jewelry and soap made by this family as well. HIGHLY recommend!!!
A little hard to find, and a little tricky to order, but so worth it! Delicious, authentic Indian food. The gluten free roti was such a treat! And the beautiful ocean view was such a fun surprise!Recommend: looking for Ledges by the Bay, going into the office entrance, scanning the code at the front desk for the menu, finding a table by the back windows, ordering through the menu (only option), and enjoying the view (bring binoculars if you’d like) during your short wait for delicious food!
Food is decent enough albeit smaller portions and too expensive for what it is, but whoever ‘runs’ this place has obviously never owned a restaurant ever before. All the fundamentals of a real restaurant are missing.Since I was a ‘dine in guest’ No one to greet you, no music, no thank you, no smiles or ‘enjoy’ or ‘how was everything’ or ‘come back’ from anyone, a sign pointing to a side door that is broken and forces you to figure out where to enter, flimsy paper plates and cups that get blown off the table (you’re by the ocean with a constant breeze common sense! , no wifi network/ password provided since you have to order via a QR code and depending on your carrier signal is weak etc etc etc. the list goes on and on unfortunately. Saving grace are the views. This completely clueless place is not a restaurant but rather an anonymous and sterile ‘who knows what’ or ‘hey, let’s open a restaurant although we don’t have a clue what we are doing’, it’s like grabbing over priced premade tiny portion food from a deli case without any interaction or care. Spent $40 and left hungry and very baffled by this place. Sad
We loved the food. We even tried to visit it 2nd time on our trip with a 50-mile detour, but the restaurant was closed on the weekday :
Lots of vegan options. We ordered a bunch of stuff, everything was delicious. I especially liked the coconut kachori and the banana curry. They're take-outs only but you can use the tables in the dining area. There's also seating on the deck if you prefer al fresco. The location offers open views overlooking a cove which is very calm and relaxing. This place is an absolute gem and is doing a great service to all vegans traveling in this part of Maine!
