The Olympic Tavern - Rockford

We had a very good experience and the food was nice. It took too long to get our water and menus and the gravy was too salty. But, overall, great experience.

I have lived in Rockford for a year and never really dined out, had a dinner with my folks and was pleasantly surprised. The service is excellent, the venue is clean, the food is amazing, the menu has a nice selection. This is the best option for a normal American meal outside of the downtown area. The ambiance is old school wood and low lighting, comfortable seating inside or out, Every course I ate was 5 star, the filet was incredible, even the mashed potatoes are fantastic. Highly recommended for special occasions or just a night out.

Ordered dinner no rolls, no salads no soup just your meal! No refills had to find waiter to get check ! Fried fish greasy bones in my fillet no scallops no crab cakes and prime rib special none left and we ate at 6:45pm

Server and manager went above and beyond when there was an issue at our table that was no fault to them. They took really good care of us. 5 Stars.

We had a big takeout order for 13 adults and they managed to get it done in 30 minutes on a Saturday night. First thing we tried with the cheese curds and we thought they were very good and the fries were great everyone dug in and was pleased. Even though we carried out we left a tip because they were very good on their service and it was a huge order.
