Rockford Riverside Grille

I visited Riverside Grille over Labor Day weekend to enjoy live blues music by Jimmy Stagger. Before heading there, I checked the menu online and found several dishes I was eager to try. My first experience at the restaurant was fantastic: I enjoyed a cocktail, a salad, French fries, bacon-wrapped meat, and a delicious flourless chocolate cake for dessert. I sat out on the deck by the river, positioned perfectly in the middle so that the music volume was just right for my taste.

I really want to love this place, but I just can't. The food is quite expensive, and the selection isn't very extensive. The wine, however, is good!

Would definitely go back. Loved everything except the restaurant week pulled pork meal. Loved the salad but really did not like the pulled pork or the potato salad. The herbs in the potato salad were very overwhelming and it was like a chunky soup. The pulled pork had some fat in it and the flavors were intense! I am not a picky eater so i was very surprised at how much i disliked it. Anyway, i would definitely go back. Everyone else’s food looked great!! Service was great as well!!

Our food was delicious, the wait staff was awesome, and we are looking forward to our next visit!
