Omakase - Rockford

I had never tried sushi before, so this was a great place for my first experience. I ordered the steak ramen and yellowtail rolls, and everything was beautifully presented. The meal exceeded my expectations. Our waitress was very attentive, enthusiastic about the food, and a pleasure to interact with. My sister and I celebrated my birthday with this new experience, and I absolutely loved it. The waitress even assisted my sister by helping her with her burritos. That kind of service ensures that customers will return. I highly recommend this restaurant, even for those who might not think they would enjoy sushi.

The food was absolutely delicious! As someone new to the Rockford area, I was pleasantly surprised to find such a gem here. I highly recommend trying as many dishes as you can!

Absolutely phenomenal! Our experience at Omakase was fantastic from the moment we arrived until we left. The service was exceptional. Our server, Danielle, was wonderful—she answered all our questions about the menu, offered great suggestions, and was both funny and very attentive. You could tell that she loves working at this amazing place and truly cares for her customers. We ordered appetizers, sushi, poke dishes, and drinks, and the presentation and flavor profiles of everything we tried were outstanding. Hats off to the chefs—they really excel at Omakase! We will definitely be returning time and time again. Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner!

For lunch after omakase. the atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff was friendly. the menu selection has a good selection of sushi (cooked and raw) and other Japanese foods. I ordered the omakase roll that was so beautiful that I almost eat badly. my wife ordered the 815 roll that had baked salmon on a california roll. the salmon was melting mouth delicious. we will go back.

Seating was quick, the waitress took our drink order and then Shortly after we got a chance to order, I ordered the seafood ramen and 2 pieces of sashimi fatty tuna. The seafood ramen was incredibly hearty and spicy, very umami, the noodles were tender and just right and everything else was done so well. If your not used to spice this will border uncomfortable but still very very tasty. The sashimi however came as sushi, either way it was made extremely well and the tuna was extremely fresh and savory and just absolutely delicious, it was the melt in your mouth experience I know so well and it was far from disappointing, so delicate but yet a powerful experience, one I say anyone should try. A great place to stop by and get lunch, you may have to waive your waitress down however since she very seldomly came by.
