Legacy by Giovanni's - Rockford

We were here a few times and that was by far the worst. the service was just ok. eating was a total failure. my man medium steak came still mooing and my huhn massala dish was nothing to write home.

They managed to totally ruin 2 Wagyu steaks and our night. No attempt to make it right. Just awful.

While we enjoyed our food at Legacy, the service was not great. At the beginning our meal, the service was fantastic, however as the meal progressed the service grew slower and slower. In the end, we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for our bill. One of our steaks was also not cooked to our liking. We did send it back to the kitchen, however when it returned to the table, it was still not cooked the way we wished. The Spanish octopus was fantastic however, as was the chocolate cake :

We went there for the first time and thought everything was way overpriced. I ordered a fillet med rare and it had looked like it was charcoaled way too long. We will not be going back. The amount of money we spent we will find somewhere else to go and eat with our friends.

This restaurant dinner was for our 47 wedding anniversary. My wife wanted to see this new restaurant. The décor was very nice except for steer skull. Seating was comfortable. The service was great. The food we ordered was good but my medium steak has to be sent back for reheat. Very pricey for Rockford, IL but compares with Chicago prices. Would we come again? Yes for special occasions.
