You can see and taste the freshness in every bite.
3rd and final time visiting! Rib Tips weren't dried out and burnt this time, but extremely tough. Asked for extra sauce and didn't get any. It is a Vinegar based sauce and all you taste is Vinegar. Corn Bread was hard as a Hockey Puck, Dressing had a funky taste and it was just a big BLOB with a slice of canned Cranberry sauce. I can definitely cook this meal much better at home for way less than the $19 I spent on this meal.
The Rib tip dinner was to die for. I like the feel of the establishment and it has deep local roots as well.
The catfish fillets and cabbage were outstanding, and the service was excellent too. Don't be put off by the condition of the building! I will definitely come back and try something different the next time I'm in the Rockford area.
