I wanted to try something new and choose this place was a total mistake. My food was really well done and tasted amazing, but the food the rest of my family ordered was abysmal. I feel really bad to have her order even from here. The container for mac n cheese was only a quarter or so full and was very watery. The burger my father ordered to be well done was so burned that he wanted to bite it. The other burgers were very boiled and had to be thrown away when we were afraid they would get someone sick. The fries were still cold and they stayed together. I have no idea why my meal was absolutely amazing quality, while the rest of it was tied and terrible. It really felt like $100 was wasted.
I loved coming to the town of Tavern because there are boneless wings the best (get them trainer style) oasis?t was here in a while and when I finally imagined my disappointment when I saw they were cut off by hand Fries and replaced them by the fries in the picture that were not so big. Great place to come, but wish to keep the old pommes.
We love this tavern. The staff is great. The dishes and drinks are great. Many TVs to watch all different sports events. My husband goes there to eat, drink a beer, relax and see the Cleveland Browns play. They rarely have it on local stations. Towne Tavern has all the games to play. Very recommended to go there.
Good drink specials. Food was fine. Service was Ok. Regulars were friendly. Outside seating is great if you have a pet, like we did. Covered, shady. Different spin on tater tots, loved that they arrived hot and were tasty. Homemade potato chips were crispy to perfection. Didn 't care for the carrots that came with the wings too thick to eat raw. They really need to be cut into strips like the celery. Cold slaw needs work, but then we 're from an area of NC where people drive from 3, 4 states away to buy a quart of our vinegar based slaw, so we 're used to pretty good slaw. If I ran the kitchen I 'd look up some award winning slaw recipes, test them for customer satisfaction and turn my meh slaw into a side people really wanted because it has great profit margins.
