Great Wall - Rochford

We wanted a Chinese take away and decided to try the Great Wall rather than the one up the road in the hope that it would be better quality food. A big mistake it was awful, the stuffed crab claws were hard and chewy we left them. The chow mein was so dry I'm not sure what they'd done to it, I'm thinking it might have been cooked and left on the side it looked awful. The duck dish looked unappetising and was over cooked and tough. This restaurant is far more expensive than your local takeaway we might as well have thrown £35 away which is a lot for two people. We won't return.

Not been here for years, and still playing the same CD for background music. Please, please change the set up. Attended on a Saturday night and only 4 groups of people in there. Very depressing tbh. Food was hot and ok

This restaurant is a must in the area. I visited with my girlfriend and we were met by the owner, Michael. He couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We were very impressed by the food and the service. Would definitely recommend to my friends family. The Satay chicken starter especially was superb. Thanks to the Great Wall for a great evening!

Excellent, outstanding food and outstanding service. Food arrived very quickly was delicious. Michael made the whole experience even better, such a lovely person, funny, friendly. The Prawns with garlic butter was my fav and defo will go back. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

My wife and I had a meal here a few months ago. Very friendly staff, all dishes were freshly prepared and tasty. If it were a little closer to home we would use it more often. That said we will make a point of going back at some point soon.
