Country School - Rochelle

This place is absolutely disgusting. Ew ew ew. They serve garbage : nasty **** garbage.

Fast, reasonably priced, friendly, and tasty!! The crispy guaca wrap, the fudge brownie sundae, the cod, and the chicken strips were all great!

Driving around Rochelle looking for a restaurant isn't hard. There's not many to choose from in this small town. Of course there's the usual fast crude restaurants. But not for me, not on this day. I was looking for a cool neighborhood place where the locals dine. I found one in the Country School. It's located adjacent to a McDonald's, which was easy to pass by. The Golden Starches is not a favorite of mine. Too many memories of bad meals throughout the years. I keep giving it second chances but they keep falling on their faces. The Country School is a burger joint too, only not generic. They have an extensive menu. I chose a BLT, rings, and a malt. All were ok, all were better quality than what their neighbor could have offered. You may say that Country School, schooled McDonald's. Quick Tip: Try the BLT, only ask them to not toast the bread. That way you can get that mound of bacon into your mouth quicker.

This place was old when I was a kid and it definitely shows. I doubt this place will ever close because it has the best ice cream and they have very good greasy food. If you are wanting to eat something that is greasy and definitely not good for you, you found it. You will not regret it. I stop by here every Rochelle visit in the summer for a cone. Sometime I get the pizza puff. I shouldn't, but I do.

Best chicken in town; great soup sides but they do ripoff every credit card customer with a fee ; if it was not for the rip off fee it's worth 5 stars I do not go there often use to go one time a week there loss!
