La Rocca - Roccapalumba

General food quality is much below average of Sicilian fare and overpriced, service is good and responsive, rudeness of the owner/manager is unparalleled, to a simple note on a pasta dish that was very very salted, the sarcastic answer without apologies and remedy was: “What can I say the customer is always right” Pathetic

The restaurant was over priced and the seafood was bad. Nothing about this restaurant was great at all. Servers had a bad attitude and the shrimp made me sick for about 24 hours. I do not recommend.

While exploring the amazing countryside of Sicily we ended up in Roccapalumba and seeing this place open we went for lunch. I mean this in a good sense when I say it was 'nothing fancy ', as in Italy that almost inevitably means good quality, nice honest food, which this was. We shared antipasti of a varied selection of bruschetta, nice, fresh and so much better than the imitation versions you find often at home. Then had a plate of pasta, I had penne arrabiatta with spicy sausage (Nduja). It was fresh, well cooked and I enjoyed my lunch. Can 't say fairer than that really.

Ero in questo ristorante a giugno per una comunione e devo dire che sono rimasto stupito da tutto. La posizione, il servizio e il cibo sono stati fantastici, un 10 e lode. È un peccato che io viva lontano perché sarebbe il posto ideale per andare a cena o a pranzo.

Fantastico ristorante per famiglie e gruppi, cibo di eccellente qualità, pesce fresco, porzioni abbondanti e servizio impeccabile, personale gentile, rapido e disponibile.
