Liked the place. It's very clean and the employees are quite friendly. The pizza was good. I tried the beef pizza. It has that nice mild spicy kick to it (give it a try) and I also tried the all-cheese pizza, also good. You really get a lot for your money here. The slices are huge (I'm a big 6' 3 guy and I had a difficult time wolfing down both slices) 2 huge slices and a pop for close to $7, great deal.
Servers were pleasant enough, but our coffees were only average, and my daughter threw them out. “only not our cup of coffee.”
Excellent, very rewarding to look outside. The pizza was up there with the best we ever had. The vegetables were so fresh and the sauce was a perfect balance of all flavors that make for an excellent pizza. The cheese had such a nice Chew factor, everything in all, nothing to improve. There is no location on Robson Street. If you want this pizza, Pender Street is where you have to come.
Pizza 2001 is a great pizza place when you work between Cambie and Howe in downtown. It's on the corner of Richards and West Pender. It is not so big from a restaurant, and the decor is minimal, but people come for the good pizza. Whenever I'm close, I usually grab one or two pieces. For over 5 years, the same three people have been operating.
