Chester's Fried Chicken - Robertsdale

I had an excellent dining experience with delicious food, attentive servers, and a friendly owner. I appreciate the eggs! The coffee was also great, which is uncommon for diners.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of breakfast options available in the morning. They offered eggs, bacon, two types of sausage, fish, grits, diced breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, among other items. The food was delicious, and I will definitely be returning.

The chicken strips were enormous, but sadly, the dipping sauces fell short. The Chester Sauce had no taste, and the honey mustard was reminiscent of chicken fat. The fried okra was also unappealing. To make matters worse, the fountain drinks were missing syrup, and I was told to head next door to the gas station for a drink.

The fried chicken is fantastic, but it's the potato wedges that make me stop at Chester's every time I come across one while traveling!

This is a one-of-a-kind spot. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the bathrooms are spotless. They offer affordable gas and amazing chicken! You can find just about anything here, and they clearly don’t have the supply chain issues that many are talking about these days. The 4-piece tender meal was only $13, which is actually cheaper than buying the individual tenders. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice, and I highly recommend trying the chicken.
