Joseph Decuis - Roanoke

Went to the Emporium for the first time today with some friends. Dennis was an amazing help and really made my friends and I feel welcomed! Dennis was very knowledgeable on the wines and even brought us out some to try! Even though the areas for dinner we’re not open, he walked us through and gave us a tour and it is such a beautiful place. We will definitely be back for dinner! We sat out in the courtyard and since we just got back from France a few months ago, we felt like we were brought back to our tea party in the French countryside!

This was our second visit to Joseph Decuis, and it did not disappoint. The concept of farm-to-table is taken to the next level here, as they have their very own Wagyu beef farm! The menu is crafted daily, depending on what is fresh and available from their garden. Although the steak portions may seem small at first glance, you'll be impressed by both the presentation and the generous serving size. I left with a happy and content heart!

We also tried the Wagyu chili dog, which was tasty but a bit tough to bite through. The flavor was great, but I think I’d stick with a burger next time. The chili was fantastic, and we ended up topping our fries with it, which I highly recommend. All in all, a wonderful experience!

The setting was varied delightful. The service was good, food was good although the timing and sequence were off. But certainly worth a try. Charming little village.
