Blue Cow Ice Cream - Roanoke

I love this ice-laden and the fact that they have tried to also provide vegans. the only problem I have with is that they have a taste, chocolate and it is made of cocos milk and cocosm has a tendency to overdo other aromes too much. If there are a few more decisions, we could get a chance more often. every time we asked them to work on one. the location is great although I wish they would somehow use there location to get more on the flow a bigger deck out of the back or something like that would be nice. I like the remodel they have done after closed hits, but it feels like it needs a little more

They do have vegan options and their flavors are good. Some flavors are quite unusual. Location is cute too. Right by the Roanoke River.

I love this shop and recommend it all the time. Small, local business that specializes in homemade ice cream. The flavor lineup is excellent, with plenty of options for those who like classics and those wanting some more artisanal tastes. (There are always vegan options, too! My favorite option is to get an ice cream “flight” with 4 different small cups (because I can never pick one flavor . They have toppings, milkshakes, waffle cones, etc… but it’s not a Cold Stone experience. You’re here for the small batch ice cream. Bonus points: the patio is shaded and overlooks the river.

Smells like heaven as soon as you walk in the door! They're making their own waffle cones which leaves the air smelling delicious. How can you resist? They allow you to sample the flavors to pick your favorite ice cream. I got the goat cheese and blueberry flavor which was fantastic. Will definitely be back! Parking lot is small so you may have to park in a neighboring lot or take advantage of the walking trail and shimmy up the nicely designed short walkway from the Greenway below. Enjoy!

Gets crazy busy on nice days but they still move fast. It's busy because the ice cream is absolutely delicious and tastes fresh and homemade. Classic flavors are far better than the grocery store versions but if you really want to find the hidden gems go for the unique options like goat cheese and blueberry
