L'assiette Roannaise - Roanne

We had a very nice experience in this restaurant. We took the menu of the month and were treated with delicious food for a good price.

As this is a very local restaurant for us, we joften pop in at lunch time for their Menu du Jour, always very good value, beautifully presented and served. we love the atmosphere of this restaurant as well as the food. Foran evening meal, you expect to pay more, but you are never disappointed.

The décor sets the tone for the enjoyable food which was well presented. As it was a quiet evening three tables occupied) the décor however made the ambience rather clinical. Chef is clearly bang up to date with trends and ideas molecular cuisine , with an eye on his friend at le Prieure in the next village, or even Heston Blumenthal) so do not expect traditional regional food. Looking at the ratings that had to be completed below, it is not a romantic venue too well lit) but it could be one for a special occasion

We found this restaurant whilst driving through France and it was truly a great find. The food was superb and tasty. The best fish dish (and I am not a fish lover) I have ever tasted. The starter was as good. I would highly recommend planning your trip around visiting this restaurant. A truly remarkable find.

A nice surprise, on holiday in the corner that we were well received. small terrace in a quiet location in front of the restaurant. menu of the day, but if we had the time we would have tasted well with the map! to do it again.
