The waiter was very attentive and helped guide me through the menu realizing it was my first time there. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. I have to say my overall experience was great, even down to the ramen.Food: 5/5
We had the ramen . Some kind of Americanized version of it anyway. The pork was marinated decently and the soft boiled egg was also cooked and marinated as mom would make but the whole dish was overtaken by pickled ginger. We specifically had the tonkotsu ramen which didn 't taste like it 's supposed to and the noodles were thin and overcooked for tonkotsu. What 's weird is they didn 't have shoyu ramen which is kind of a staple dish. The whole menu is crazy overpriced, especially for lunch. Spending fifty bucks on two bowls of ramen, tea (and the tip) is silly. Maybe if I was in an urban 'fancy schmansy ' setting and not a strip mall it would make more sense. It would even be overpriced in Japan! Maybe that 's why the restaurant was empty. But what really brought the rating down is we both got sick after. Many trips to the bathroom that night.
Food was delicious, service is quick. The staff is so kind, I ordered a ramen bowl for my kids not knowing it would be spicy and they were so understandable and kindly switched it out for another ramen. The chicken ramen was also very yummy. They have so many different boba teas. Would definitely go again.
Their black garlic ramen is always amazing! The dine-in service at lunch time has always been great. My most recent visit was even better. Julie is so sweet, and checked up on me multiple times to see if I needed anything else. The dining area is very roomy, spacious, and nicely decorated. Honestly, I don't have one negative thing to say about the service and atmosphere here.I've had the veggie ramen and the grilled shrimp ramen. Both are good, but it's the black garlic ramen that brings me back. Yes, I'm addicted! I love that you can add black garlic oil to other ramen dishes. I did this once before with the grilled shrimp one, and it totally elevated it. I'm also a big fan of the pickled ginger. You can always ask them to remove it if you don't like ginger. The chashu pork is seasoned perfectly. It just adds another tasty layer to that bowl of ramen. But seriously, the star of the show is that seasoned egg. No one in this area seasons it better than Token Ramen. I get an additional egg each time. I don't do that anywhere else. It's also the only place that has kale noodles, which is actually quite good. I think my only wish would be that they one day add shirataki noodles.I could go on and on about the ramen. But wait! They also have awesome bubble tea. Especially their creamy milk teas. I do love their signature black boba which is perfectly soft, honey sweet, and chewy. Their taro slush is also a winner for me. I usually get it with the oreo cookie topping. They have lots of other menu items like hibachi and appetizers, but I go for the ramen. It's my go-to for black garlic ramen. It's comforting! What more can I say?
