Good Local Food and Service.. I have to say after reading mixed reviews I decided to give this place a try and judge for myself. I have to tell you it was a great dinning experience! I went 3 separate times for lunch on 3 different days and made sure my party and I tried 3 different things on the menu each time. <br <br The food is very good. Service all 3 times for us was prompt and attentive. The food was very good and prepared nicely. This place is much better then most Asian Chinese food places we have tried in the Tampa Bay Area. One nice thing are the fresh veggies they use. The chicken with mixed vegetables is pan seared and NOT fried. It is thin sliced with lot's of fresh veggies and steamed or fried rice (YUM! . The egg drop soup is so GOOD!. Order it with a side of rice (to share add a few drops of soy sauce makes it perfect. <br <br The sesame chicken can be prepared mild, medium or hot (spicy . The honey walnut shrimp is so good! The sweet and sour is fried with breading and it was okay not a favorite of mine. <br The place is very clean and tidy. We went at lunchtime so they were not packed busy. The silverware and table were clean. The interior is tastefully decorated and open. Parking is easy and very convenient off 75 at the intersection. (Very nice establishment overall. <br <br Their website makes ordering very easy and informative and the staff very accommodating. <br <br The PRO's: GOOD FRESH FOOD! , Nice staff, easy to find, good website, fast service, fresh fresh food, PROPERLY seasoned and prepared food. Nothing was sent back. Steamed rice prepared perfect. Good Prices and again so much better then 90% of the Asian Chinese places in Tampa. For about $10.00 a person you get a lunch special, soup, and soda including tax (on average when we ate there . <br <br The CON's: These will seem nit picky but I will mention to be fair. The friend wonton skins and dipping sauce they give to start are bland and fried not a favorite. Lunch portions are okay not huge or skimpy (very average , The plates are not heated before food is placed on them so if you do not eat your entree once received it starts to cool off. <br <br The regular sushi is okay not the best ever had and NOT the worst. It is average or beginner sushi. I think the chef's menu is much better and the price matches what you get a higher end product that taste very good. <br <br I would recommend this place and I am looking forward to trying more menu items again and again.<br <br <br <br Update!! We went back on 2 separate occasions and tried the chef sushi menu and it was awesome!! Ordered the mango, sexy on the beach and a dynamite roll they were prepared correctly were very fresh and flavorful! Went right before Christmas so it was packed! Service was a bit slow and it took a bit to get the check but all in all still doing a great job.
Frequent diner happy!. We love Asian Yummy House. We visit the restaurant about twice a month and have delivery at least that often. I have yet to order a roll I didn't like. My wife loves the Mei Fun and we always start the meal with fried pot stickers. The delivery is quick and the food is always at the right temperature.
I've only ordered take-out, but the food is always good plentiful. Staff is nice. Food is a bit pricey but worth it to me my family.
In spite of bad reviews my urge for sushi made me come visit this restaurant. We got two of the chef's special rolls and they were amazing! We also got a rainbow roll and 2 orders of eel and 2 orders of salmon. The portions were more than enough. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Add in 2 miso soup and an order of edamame our bill only came to $75. For those reviewers that complained about the price remember that you get what you pay for. If you want good fresh sushi then expect to pay the price. We will definitely be back!
