Fortune Cookie - Riverton

We have ordered take-out from Fortune Cookie many times. Today was the first time we came in to dine in. It was wonderful. Our server was attentive, there were a variety of choices, and the lunch menu was not only a great deal, but it also provided a generous serving of food that included a soup or salad appetizer. We have fallen in love with Fortune Cookie all over again.

We order from here ALLLLL the time. The food is really good, however, they have a serious problem with getting your order correct. It doesn't matter if you're dining in or taking it home, the order always seems to be wrong. Several weeks ago we dined in. My husband asked for fried rice with his meal I ask for white rice with mine. She brought out a huge bowl of white rice. I incorrectly assumed that the white rice was for my meal, but then we had to wait another 10 minutes before we could get her attention to ask for the fried rice for his meal. Last night we had a huge order and with each entree we selected the white rice. We got it home, opened it up, and it was all fried rice. Every single order before that where we order tempura shrimp, we always get the vegetable tempura. We ordered 2 shrimp tempura and one shrimp and vegetable tempura and received 1 shrimp tempura and 1 vegetable tempura. From now on I will be taking everything to the car (not enough room inside at their counter) opening every single box before leaving.

We have dined here dozens upon dozens of times over the years. But unfortunately the food quality has suffered. The last few times we ordered sushi the rolls were bland and underwhelming. Fish quality has dropped significantly. Sizes are smaller. Less rice is provided. The quality of the Chinese food has dropped too. The chicken in the kung po and orange chicken is mostly breading and is overcooked and dry. Hopefully with other sushi and Chinese restaurants opening in Herriman and Riverton they may step up their game, improve on their quality and presentation. Or risk losing more of their business.

Terrible Chinese food, wonton soup was gross, chicken dish was dried out inside, no flavor a lot of the items. Honestly one of the worst Chinese takeout meals we?ve had. We tried to find at least one thing that was good and honestly nothing was.

I came in and ordered take out, and I was hoping for a great experience but that was not the case both persons in my party ordered egg foo young and hers was partially doughy, my was extra well done. I ordered the wor wonton soup and the wontons wre extremely soggy. That left a horrible texture feeling in my mouth. For the amount paid (almost 80) I expect the food to be SO MUCH BETTER. Very disappointed, this will be our last and only time there. No thank you. The even forgot items in the order. But we live down in Utah county so turning back was not an option.
