One day we were charged the wrong amount so look at your bill before paying. Another day we were told that we had to go to the outdoor seating area across from the cafe but they told us we had to return to the indoor cafe where they eventually decided they could seat us. With the massive crowds in Cinque Terre, the restaurants struggle to be efficient. One day we went for brunch having a very good omelette for 8 euros.
We started our day at this central spot 3 days in a row. Continental Breakfast options were lovely and staff friendly and relaxed. And it has a toilet!
We stopped here for a drink and chips and found it to be a good place to watch the passing parade up and down the main street. The music is a bit loud but sitting outside it's fine.
Reheated lasagna, cold in the middle. Poor slow service. Plenty of good places in Riomaggiore so don't bother trying this one..
The menu had a variety of pizza and pasta options so we decided to go here for dinner. Staff were friendly and welcoming as we walked in and service was prompt. As we began to order we were advised that several items on the menu were unavailable tortellini, lasagne, focaccia, just to name a few! No worries though we chose other options. While we were waiting for our food we could here the microwave going. Around 5 10 minutes later our food came to our tables... there is no way it could of been cooked properly. They must cook large batches and re heat when ordered (hence why there was no tortellini or lasagne etc) The food was only ok... very average and was nothing like the traditional Italian food we had experienced in Rome. We were disappointed that we didn't walk a little bit further up the hill as there appeared to be several hidden gems up there. The only positive things were the friendly staff and the free limoncello shot. I see the reviews on here are great for breakfast and that may be the case I won't be coming back for lunch or dinner.
