Going to Foster's is an experience! The collection of mounted animals is the largest I have seen. I have been there a couple of times. Now as for the food, the fried asparagus is good, burgers and fries are good, but, the chicken sandwich I had was dry, and lacked a lot of flavour. It is a restaurant I would take friends to if we were in the area, but I can't say I would travel just to go.
We just left our culinary experience here. This is more of 3.5 than a 4-star rating. I'll say the customer service was great. Our waitress went beyond and beyond, and I could hear her conversation with other guests and make sure they take care of it. She did a great job. The food was good, but very expensive. Prices on Google do not reflect their current prices to publish them. For example, currently Google says her Ceasar salad is $9 when it is $12.75 in reality. For an Asian chicken salad it was almost $16 plus the chicken sandwich that was about $15. The sheer amount of taxidermy on the walls was a nightmare. I knew there was SOME, but that was so much more than SOME-Taxidermy. The fact that there were elephant cuffs on the wall most disturbed me how illegal the ivory trade is. Some things can't be overlooked. Finally. The experience of entering and leaving was scary. No mistake to the staff, of course, but the whole restaurant *stared* with us while we go through. It made us both extremely uncomfortable. It was horror movie ass. There was clearly a demography that I obviously did not fit. I wouldn't go through that again.
Absolute WONDERFUL in this always goofy world of PC correctness! My father brought me to the bar when I was five years older than sixty, still love it. Good thing I'm living so far away because I'd be in there every day!
