Alumni Grill At Rio Grande

We had no idea this hidden gem existed during our two years of camping in Cape May! First of all, the staff was outstanding. They greeted us warmly, answered all our questions, and genuinely seemed happy to help. Second, the food was fantastic. Usually, reviews focus on negative experiences, but this one is all about the positives! If you haven't been yet, you must go! Be sure to try the dodge balls and Jekyll cheesesteak. The rolls were perfect as well. We loved our visit and will definitely return!

I visited for the first time today and had a wonderful experience with both the service and the food. I ordered a panini and a wrap, and both were fantastic. I will definitely return in a couple of weeks!

Food is ok nothing better than anywhere else. Ordered the Jekyll and Hyde thinking it was a fancy steak sandwich. Not even close. Shredded meat in a wrap is a harder to eat and does not taste as good than a roll. Should have been on a 9 roll as described. Plus the meat had a bone in it and tasted cheap. I would recommend getting a different meat supplier or chip your own fresh with premium meat. The kick balls were ok but I kept thinking they were fried perfectly but bland. If they offered up beef or chicken gravy with a dash of cheddar on top this would be the menu highlight and make this place stand out more.

I wouldn't recommend spending your time or money at this restaurant. It’s pointless to request specific toppings on a cheesesteak or pay extra for basic ingredients, as they don't include them, and they don’t answer the phone when you try to address the issue. I work too hard for my money to waste it here. If I had wanted a bun with hardly any meat, that’s what I would have ordered. There should definitely be an option for zero stars. Overall, a truly terrible experience.

The food isn't what it used to be. I spent nearly $50, and it was barely edible. I can't recommend it. The place in Wildwood is much better. That's what happens when you expand.
