Bio&bio - Rijeka

I grabbed a few sandwiches, ice cream and cakes from Bio while I was in Rijeka. They’re good not the greatest but certainly worth trying when in Rijeka (especially given the lack of vegan options in the area). Prices are a bit high compared to non vegan restaurants in the area, but not drastically higher.

You can find Bio&Bio shops in different cities around Croatia. They have lots of vegan products like tofu, seitan, falafels, sweets, some pastries,...

They have a lot of very nice pre made food like sandwiches and salads, which are great options to go. Also, they have fruits and veg, as well as alternative milk products and sweets.

Many of the organic foods are important from nearby countries but in one of the fridges, here is a section of vegan Croatian pastries, both savory and sweet. These alone make the visit worth it. Otherwise, the prices are probably really not affordable for the average Croatian but that's probably due to the import.

A really nice shop. They got a big offer of different vegan products. Some fresh vegetables fruits, plant milks, tofu, vegan cheese, vegan meat stuff, ice cream, natural cosmetics and so on. Friendly staff also
