Tearoom Runa - Riga

We came into this restaurant not really knowing what to expect. The staff recommended that we have a 3 course meal. To be honest I am not sure what it is we ate, but whatever it was it was absolutely divine. The staff clearly spend a lot of time meticulously preparing the food and the drinks. We didn't know what to expect in terms of price either, but when the bill came we were amazed at how cheap it was. Such quality food for such a cheap price. The ambience was very soothing as they had a peaceful playlist in the backround. The waitress even let us sample some kambucha absolutely free of charge. If you're in Riga you should visit tearoom RUNA.

What a lovely space! My partner and I came in on a Sunday afternoon. We got seats in the window. The music fit the mood wonderfully for a rainy afternoon. Lo fi hip hop without lyrics. The woman working was so kind. She explained the options then made us the most delicious pot of tea, using local plants. Yarrow. Valerian. Rose petals. Fire flower. This space had a really relaxed and cosy energy! It was simply wonderful.

The lunch was super delicious and well priced. Very calming atmosphere in the midst of a busy city. Definitely worth a visit, if even only to look.

Lovely cosey atmosphere with excellent vegan dishes. A variety of good teas are served in proper tea pots!

The girl who was in the Tearoom seemed to be a one person show. It is not a very big place and not very busy. So she was able to handle all the tasks in a relaxed manner, however without a smile. She looked so sad. The tea choices are not overwhelming. There is no menu to choose from. ou have to approach the tea shelves and she will help you choose the tea you want. The food menu is very limited. I had the beetroot soup which came with a couple of small spring rolls and biscotti and was very hearty and filling. Tea is served in the proper manner as it should. Prices are very reasonable. Quiet, zen like ambience.
