Tablao Wine Bar Restaurant - Ridgefield

The chicken scarpiello was not what I anticipated, and the cheesecakes and flan had melted since they were packed in the same bag as the hot food. However, the beef empanadas were delicious.

I ordered delivery a day in advance to impress guests visiting from Madrid, but the food arrived nearly ninety minutes late and was only at room temperature. Overall, we found that the few dishes that were acceptable were just mediocre at best, while others could only be described as slop. It was definitely not authentic.

Nice restaurant on main st in Ridgefield. The food is not authentic Spanish tapas.The sangria did not taste like any sangria ive ever had; red or white. It was the first Sangria ive had that was pink.We ordered 6 different tapas. The food came out hot and tasted fresh. I'd have to say the Pulpo a la Gallega and the Gambas were the favorite of the six, with the croquettes being the least.I've been looking for close to authentic Spanish cuisine in CT and have not been lucky as of yet. Having been to Spain a couple times, I don't expect even my favorite places to reach that bar, but I don't want to always travel to NJ when I want good Iberian cuisine. I will say the staff was nice and attentive.

Wonderful restaurant with great atmosphere and service. Decor is warm modern and inviting with a great bar area as well as indoor and outdoor dining area locations. Menu has plenty of appetizer options, specials and full plate choices. Food quality and flavors were excellent. Nice cocktail and wine options. A bit on the pricey side but service and quality made the experience very worth while. Would definitely visit again.

We always start with the calamari and grilled garlic shrimp, but we love trying other appetizers as well. The empanadas are amazing, and the pear salad is a must-try. The sangria is absolutely divine, and I appreciate that all the seafood tastes so fresh, which is really important to me. Thank you to the restaurant for a wonderful dinner and experience! This gem is definitely located in downtown Ridgefield.
