Olvera's - Ridgecrest

Been to Olvera's numerous times over the years and have never had bad food or service. Large portions, staff is constantly checking without being obnoxious. No idea why some fools would give a bad review, no pleasing some folks. Highly recommended when in Ridgecrest.

We were just passing through. We came for lunch and ordered off the dinner menu. I had the whitefish tacos, beans and white rice. My husband had the carne asada. It was delicious! The fish was soft buttery and the carne asada was very tender. What a great find!!

We saw restaurants on google and Olvera’s came highly recommended, so we decided to try it in the city for a night. this is a small jewel, excellent eating, fast friendly service and a great atmosphere. I don't think they can go wrong with any court here, and the churros are amazing. the prices are fabulous.

This restaurant surprised me. the place was very inconceivable from the outside and a bit older in the inner, but the service was nice and I had a really delicious steak burrito for $8. you can eat well there.

We stopped here for a quick brunch before we headed out to Death Valley and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The complementary chips and salsa were delicious too and it did seem like the chips were fresh. They were happy to accommodate vegetarian preferences. The chili relleno was not too breaded as it is in most places. The rice and breads were great. I was not a huge fan of the vegetarian burrito as it was primarily roasted vegetable (zucchini etc inside. I should have asked them to add guacamole on the vegetarian taco as well as I’m sure they would have considered it.I do want to mention that my friends who ordered the fish and shrimp options were really happy with their order.
