I've been going with gaucho as you can tell him my story, but they have nothing better. this will never be a first-class steak company. it offers attractive service, overpriced steak. Please go to hawksmoor. they know how to make steak great. these numpties could not spell “reverse sear” without autospell, let alone what it is. don't go here. it's toilet. time to retire gaucho average service and eat with massif overpriced food will not cut it. I can cook better steak than they can and it is not even close.

The first meal was great, the second time that we ordered was cold and a completely different meal than the first, although we ordered the same dinge. tonight after an hour of waiting they could not deliver. they called to say that the restaurant was closed and that the shipper broke off. what is that? in the app it says we got our food. we didn't do it. they're staying away from this really poor suppe.

Booked online and requested outdoor table, refused. Later they allowed people to sit at an outside table? Now you are given a blind menu to choose your steak when they used to bring samples to the table. The steak was fatty and gristly, the sauce...was nowhere near as described in the menu, and the sides portions meagre. I agree with the other reviewer, the quality has dropped. Overall the experience wasn't worth the fee. We only paid the service charge because the waitress was so attentive. Don't go there for a quintessential steak experience, it no longer exists. AVOID

Started off the evening at the steak house with a couple of cocktails. Preferring the rhubarb blush over the Hennessey julep as that needed a bit more sweetness to be as good as the other. We then went for the steak tartare which had a...duck egg ontop which made all the difference and the scallops with mango puree and red pepper as a shared starter which were both fantastic. When I go back next time I'm still ordering both as I could never decide which one was better than the other. After the starters we both decided on going for the gaucho sampler which consisted off four different steaks. Rib eye, sirloin, fillet, and rump. The truffle in the side order of Mac and cheese was great the only complaint being I didn't order two of them. One wasn't enough for two people to share. The board was a great way of serving the steak but to be left with blood on the table wasn't great. Quickly attended to by Petya which smoothed everything over as if nothing had happened. We then finished the meal with a belter of a dulche de leche cheesecake and i would go back again just for that. The marshmallow made all the difference just a tiny bit more of it on the plate and it would have been perfect. Throughout the meal we experienced a top level of service from Petya. She was nice and attentive as well as being knowledgeable. Also she let us take our time in deciding what we wanted but at the same time she was experienced enough to let us enjoy the meal and even convincing us to go from a rare steak to medium rare seeing as some of the steaks on the sampler were better that way. Top job and thanks very much for making our evening. Petya is a great worker for the company to retain and is a worthwhile investment for the management team in Gaucho Richmond in the future. Will definitely be returning on a day where we can have a few more cocktails as there was too many to go for and then drive home and try and few different things from the superb wine list and other items off the menu such as the swordfish or the lambshank and hopefully the sampler doesn't win us over again. For anyone near Richmond it's a great place for an amazing array of steaks and a definite visit if you haven't already. Great food, great team, great atmosphere just a shame there isn't any parking near by.

Laurence and I have lived in richmond and constantly walking along the river banks, so it is easy to surprise that it took us so long to visit gaucho, especially after it hit in apple tvs on ted leto! instead of impromptu, it was a...sunny Saturday, so we didn't need to talk, we booked a table for lunch and what a tasty bite from beginning to end. a beautiful greeting, shown on a fantastic outside table, big wine list (of course we ordered a bottle of mirabeau azure rose), and good eating. we started to share with the full selection of empanadas, followed by the huh and the lamb shank, which proves that they do not only steaks. alessio our waiter I hope I spell that was really attentive and friendly and in the earlylingssonne it felt like we were at home on vacation! I am very surprised by the bad reviews about service, because during our meal one of the workers (I think the maitre d) came to check that we enjoy ourselves, we will definitely be back!
