Przekaż informację zwrotnąWhat a **** awful experience. Popped in at about 11:40 for some Saturday Brunch. Was seated inside at the cleaner of the tables that there were. Most were streaked with food and crumbs and apparently had been like it a while. The server came across and gave the table a quick spray and wipe which got about 60% of the surface cleaner but missed a lot of crumbs and ketchup. I’ve never seen the like of it slapdash and useless. Was then presented with a grubby menu which actually, seemed quite appetising and came to a decision. At this point the sever came over to explain the kitchen was closed which came as a bit of a surprise for a brunch place and clearly other folk who overheard were also as surprised. Overall filthy place staff also could have done with cleaning up their aprons and being a bit less unkempt. Manners would have helped and even am apology about the confusion around kitchen being open or not. Looking back I think I dodged a bullet as probably a place that needs a visit from the health inspectors.
I was very surprised when my salmon and eggs came.. It looked delicious.. My girls had full English.. It also looked amazing. The toasts were perfect. The whole experience was lovely. The service was very good, they are even dog friendly, so I could sit down inside with my two chihuahuas.. I highly recommend this cafe.. I will be returning with more friends
Visited this morning for a coffee during our Sunday stroll: liked the look from the outside and that's about as good as it gets. £2.95 for what is a latte when asked for a flat white. Not much flavour and lukewarm. I like to support independent businesses but I can get a Costa flat white for £2.60. And get a friendly welcome. Both of which were lacking here. It gets my back up when you try to support independents but you're exploited in the price, let down in the quality, and treated with disdain by the owner. Won't be coming again.
I went to By the Bridge last Saturday and though the staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was nice, I was disappointed with my breakfast. The apple juice was good, but the French toast was disappointing. The fruit was not very fresh, and there was no maple syrup provided. The sweet cream that was supposed to come with it tasted like a store-bought yogurt. The toast itself was thin, soggy, and unappetizing. The whole meal cost around $8.70, and while I might go back for tea and cake, I wouldn't return for the French toast, which should be an easy dish to get right.
I always wanted to try this place out: today was the day. And it was a wrong one! I ordered “pancakes with fruits, whipped cream and maple syrup”.. from the pic as you can see.. there are missing half of the ingredients and those balls.. were not pancakes at all. Did you mean to sell “mini pancakes?” Fine. But those were round, not fluffy, the though was without taste ... I was served without cutlery. I waited a while, but nothing. So I had to go and wait at the till to ask for them. When the waiter came over to the table with cutlery and (10’ later) with my partner order.. pancakes as well.. there were missing ingredients. Then I asked for them: they brought me a weird cream which was not whipped.. and they told me the boss went out cause the maple syrup was finished.. pancakes without syrup!! now. You really don’t know how to serve clients young lady. It is your responsibility to check if all the ingredients are available at the time your Client order any item written in the menu. if they are not, it’s fine, don’t get me wrong, but made the client aware and don’t let them pay in advance because we could have changed our mind and order something else. Or offer a discount or another solution. Why Have I paid full price if you brought me half of my order? Also poor quantity of fruits: from the pics you can see that it was only 1 strawberry and less than a half banana. Try to increase the fruit portion in view of lack of other ingredients as to compensate. And please: do apologies! It may not be your mistake, but there is you behind the till and you are serving. You had a smiling face and you welcomed us well and I thank you for that. That’s why I am giving 2 stars only. The other three are missing due to lack of customer service! I am quite Disappointed!
