Ruelo Patisserie - Richmond Hill

Picked up 2 individual cakes super last min to bring home for a celebration and they were really good. Got the Mango Almond and Chocolate Earl Grey.I can’t speak to ordering cakes in advance but everything was good with what was in store already.

Had my daughter pick up a jasmine guava cake and wasn’t ready on time. Would have appreciated a call to let us know, had to wait 1 hour. The cake has no taste, sponge is dry and cake tastes like it has been frozen. My family has been coming here for years. Very disappointed in the quality and service. Wishing you guys will get your act together and improve. If you want to stay in business.

Service is deteriorating, so disappointed. I have been ordering from Times Square location for many years, but not going forward. Called to order a Hazelnut cake on Friday noon, placed my order to pick up on Saturday at 6:30pm. No one contact me that the Hazelnut cake is out of stock inadvance until pick up.They are unwilling to give any compensation until I asked. Not saying they are obligated to give compensation, but at least give me a call to notify the cake is not available. The lady at the store also admitted they didn’t notify anyone. Whats going on with the service Ruelo?!? Not coming back again.

Don't order cake from Ruelo!I ordered a 5 strawberry ice cream for my daughter's birthday on Thurs night for pick up on Sat at 11:15am. I went to pick it up on Saturday at noon. They told me they don't have that cake in stock. I told her I got an confirmation email. They told me that 5 strawberry ice cream cake has been out of stock for a long time and asked me to pick another cake. How could that happen if they already confirmed my online order?!!! I ended up paying another $14 to get a (bigger size) 7 strawberry ice cream cake from them because my daughter really wanted a strawberry ice cream cake and I was worried I couldn't find another one for her without pre ordering it.The worst part is they did not apologize nor give me any discount for the larger cake. I was too shocked when she told me they don't have the cake I ordered despite having confirmed the order.I have ordered cakes from them previously, but this lack of professionalism, potential bait and switch and poor customer service will mean I am not going back to them anymore.

Pistachios Raspberry Ice Cream Cake is definitely amazing!!!
