Akane - Richmond Hill

I found this place based on a recommendation from a friendIT is a little a la carte family restaurant, run by a korean family i believe.

This place IMHO is great for reasonably priced maki, sushi, sashimi, and bento boxes.

This place is great, they did put their prices up last summer but they are still priced well. The staff are very nice/ friendly, chef always smiling. Great place to eat in or take out.

We haven't been here for a while but glad we came back as the food was tasty and the sashimi was very fresh. Prices did go up a couple of bucks from last year but it is still cheaper than most other Japanese restaurants.As we ordered the All Day Boxes, we got the salad and miso soup to start. I got the Tempura Sashimi Box. My wife got the Bulgogi Sashimi Box. In addition, you get a good variety in this box including 3 California Roll pieces, 3 Spicy Salmon Roll pieces, 2 Tofu Squares, Glass Noodles, and Rice.Lastly, you get a scoop of ice cream.No complaints on service as they were quick and attentive. Wasn't too busy yet, but was getting busier as we were finishing our meal. Overall, very happy with the food and will be back.

Invited by my niece to late lunch at this sushi shop in Richmond Hill. Place was small with simple decor but more importantly to me, clean. The three of us all had the Japanese Bento box lunch with beef and salmon sashimi. The salmon was fresh and the beef tasty. A good place for a quick meal and it was not too expensive
