The Fancy Biscuit - Richmond

Would have been 5 stars if the fried chicken in my sandwich wasn’t sandbagged(cooked way ahead of time due to incompetent kitchen staff). Food came out way to quickly and chicken was room temperature. Biscuit was good, service was good. Potato salad was excellent. Big miss on the chicken.

This used to be one of my favorite places. love the food. always friendly service. today, we went and 5 tables were seated after us, all five got their food before us. we were just a party of 2. wasn’t til 1 hour and us asking our server where our food was did we get our meals. no apology. Just disappointed.

Old school meets hip in the unique spot with some great food. Worth going out of your way, within reason, if you are looking for a good brunch. The biscuits were great, and our delicious meals were capped off with frothy beverages from the cafe bar. Service was fantastic, and they were extremely welcoming and friendly. However, I will warn you the seats were not comfortable, but it did not take away from a memorable experience.

Beautifully quirky decor greets you upon arrival. The food is made my serious cooks that take obvious pride in their work. I had the biscuits with trio of gravies and it was positively outstanding. If I'm ever back in the area, this place will be on the top of my list to visit.

I’m so glad we did our research and found this restaurant with their own parking in the back. Our breakfast came quickly and was delicious. The food was plenty and we packed half of it to go. Our waitress Carly was exceptional in every way and it was absolutely a joy to see how special she made my son feel as his birthday is coming up!
