The Circuit Arcade - Richmond

Many of the games were out of order, and most of the beer taps were either empty or didn’t pour properly. If you’re going to operate a self-pour establishment with minimal staff, the machines really need to function correctly.

At least half of the machines were out of order or malfunctioning. The beer selection was lacking, as more than half of the self-serve taps were either empty or had run out but didn’t indicate that correctly. Although they claim to serve food, the kitchen was closed. There was only one staff member trying to manage everything. It’s a fantastic concept in an excellent location, but the execution left a lot to be desired.

It’s a great concept, but the bar is clearly in need of some serious maintenance. There was just one staff member present, and he seemed overwhelmed. Most of the beers were unavailable, many of the machines were turned off or out of order, and some even swallowed coins without giving anything in return. The women's restroom was in a terrible state—dirty, with broken stalls and a soap dispenser literally ripped from the wall. Despite the crowd being friendly and lively, it was evident that everyone was disappointed due to the overall disrepair and poor management.

Honestly one of the most poorly maintained businesses I've ever encountered. I'm flabbergasted it is even open. 60% of the games are completely powered off and many of the others are broken in obvious ways (eats tokens, broken controllers, shutdown mid-game). Even half of the beer taps don't work. Please, save your money and avoid.

It's a really neat place with a lot of potential, but I think we might have been there on an off night. A lot of the machines weren't working and others had some control issues (loose joysticks, unresponsive buttons, loose steering wheels, etc) from age. The lineup of games is impressive. The beer wall is pretty nice but they weren't offering any food the night we were there. With fewer machine issues and food available, this place would easily be 5 stars.
