Thai Smile - Richmond

Ordered 5 items for take out. Taste was decent for all items but they were very plain, mostly noodles. My chicken pad Thai had a few chunks of what appeared to be large fatty pork in it. The fried rice was just that, rice. No veggies and very little meat. The cost for an order of gyoza, which only includes 2 pieces, was ridiculous. All in all we have no plans to return.

Dietary restrictions: Many menu options can be made gluten free and as a celiac it hasn't made me sick once!

I think the girl who took my order was new and got me the wrong thing- I ordered vegetable pad Thai with extra tofu, there was plenty of tofu and it was good but there wasn’t a single vegetable in it at all!!!

Ordered Bangkok Combo.Customer service was good taking orders and order came out fast, maybe too fast. Protein and veg tasted fresh, however the taste was overly sweet and was drowned in watery, sweet, unthickened sauce. Rice was bland and unseasoned and also tastes like it was rice thrown in water to heat up but still a bit crunchy. Medium spice was basically no spice. Dish was uninspiring overall. When I complained there seemed to be no concern from waiter. Restaurant was cluttered and cheaply decorated. Price was very expensive for quality of food. Not impressed. This is not a good representation of Thai food at all. You can do better Thai Smile. This is more like Thai Frown.

I got the Chicken Fried Rice. It was delicious. The service is great with a smile every time!
