Sugar’s Crab Shack - Richmond

Wow, this place is fantastic! The photo really doesn’t capture just how much food I received. I ordered the Popcorn Shrimp special and ended up with a heaping container filled with shrimp, fries, coleslaw, and two slices of perfectly buttered toast. The shrimp were fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious, just like the fries. The coleslaw was tasty, and the bread was just right. The tartar sauce was fantastic; I should have asked for extra because I used it all. I couldn’t believe the box was only $8.99 considering the quality and quantity of the food. The service was incredibly friendly, and I can't wait to return soon!

We visited on a Sunday and could only order from the window, but that was fine with us. Initially, we planned to get a 5-piece fried fish with extra sides, but the staff member at the window kindly suggested that we would get better value with the family deal, which included sides. The fish is absolutely outstanding; the breading has a nice kick to it and is perfectly crispy. The okra was delicious, and their coleslaw and cornbread were both really well made. They don’t wrap everything too tightly, which helps keep the food crisp by the time we got home. We ended up ordering the family "9-piece," which is actually 18 fillets! This came with buttered toast and two enormous sides; we chose okra and green beans, and we added cornbread and fries as extras. The portion sizes are HUGE! We'll definitely be enjoying fish again today, but honestly, I’m not complaining about that. We’ll be returning soon! I’m eager to try the shrimp and crab next time.

The portions here are enormous! I saw the line while driving by and made a quick U-turn because I knew it must be something special, and I was right! It's not just a generous amount of food; it's also delicious! I will definitely be returning!

This place is slamming! Wow, before I came here and saw the portion sizes, it was unbelievable. Two people can dine on one platter! FOR REAL! The quality is good too!Go get the experience!

The Portions are Insane!!Lol Deviled Crabs are the Best(my fav)!! The size of the fish and shrimps are huge! My husband loves the fish- very 'meaty ' he says lol. Customer service is Excellent! Definitely get ur money 's worth for a seafood meal!
