Mama Le - Richmond

We ordered egg rolls, spring rolls, 3 boba drinks, large fruit smoothie, lunch fried rice and vermicelli bowl with egg roll, which came out to a total of $75. I would not mind the pricing if the portion sizes were larger. The large bowl of pho in this restaurant is small compared to most other pho restaurants. The bowl for the vermicelli is too small, making it difficult to mix all the food after pouring the fish sauce on top. I felt bad for the waitress because she was the only one taking orders, making drinks, and serving. Perhaps that's why many tables were dirty with dishes when we arrived.

I ordered the shrimp and greens dish. The flavor is good, but the shrimp! I feel insulted. I would prefer to have 5 good shrimp than a bunch of small, stale shrimp. I am disappointed because I usually enjoy many of their dishes, but today was not a good experience.

My daughters wanted Vietnamese, so we decided to give mama. le is an attempt for the first time. they have a lot to choose from in the form of drinks (teas, swamps, boba etc.) and kitchen. we had a little of everything and were very satisfied. the restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. the staff is friendly and helpful and the service was fast. the roasted macaroni bites were a hit and the banh mi. also rice and vermicelli were delicious. we are coming back to the final.

Mama Le is easily both my favorite restaurant and place to get drinks. Their pho and soup is the best I've had and it all feels real and fresh; I can't say anything from there ever felt poorly made in any way. My personal favorites are probably the beef pho and lychee green tea. They are known as a Viet cuisine but you really can't forget their amazing employees in how they make their drinks, like Michelle. I've never had to wait for more than 5 or so minutes, even at a busy time because of how quickly they get things done even with the amount of workers they do. I've also never had any orders messed up or confused in any way, nor have I seen it happen to others. It's a great family business that I love coming to once or twice weekly
