Little Nickel - Richmond

This restaurant was really impressive! From the atmosphere to the food/drink. It was my first time to check this place. I usually don't leave Richmond very often, but that was worth the short ride. You have a wonderful terrace in front of the restaurant, but a somewhat cramped indoor dining room. If people wait for their tables, it can be a little stuffed. There is a small parking space on the back with a larger parking approx. 30 feet further away. I had the fish plate and it was great! My friend had a salad with Tofu! Only the problem I have, the prices are quite expensive. However, I definitely recommend!!

This was our 2nd time here and we've really enjoyed it both times. The Peach PK cocktail was great as well as the coconut shrimp roll and Hawaiian pork bowl.

I love the funky, tropical decor in this stylish, intimate neighborhood diner-like restaurant. Parking is in the back. Outside the restaurant helps to make the steady flow of customers who make Little Nickel so popular. Interior seats can be at cozy, retro vinyl-padded stands, tables or at the counter/bar. The food is excellent and size part is amazingly generous. We all loved our entrées, but hardly made a dent in them. I had the lamb cheese steak w thin crispy pommes, the other satina salad and chicken bowl. We agreed that we would come back and maybe share the Entrée and still have a lot.

This is a cute Mexican/Hawaiian restaurant. I didn't make a reservation, so it was about 30 minutes waiting for us to sit inside. They have two open spaces, but it's not great for a hot summer. They took the name and phone number down so you can go or get a drink at the bar. When I arrived, I saw that all the boxes took food when they thought they were just here to get out. But actually it is because all parts in this place are huge. I had the crab spaghetti, I swear it could feed 4 adults. I ate a few and grab a whole box and still have a lot in the bowl. It's a bit of waste to be honest, no one can ever finish the bowl. The nacho is very nice and good taste, but it is still very huge portion for appetizer. Service is great, the host is very friendly and our waiter is also very attentive.

The food here is pretty good, and the drinks are great. They give very large portions here and most of the food we got was delicious, however the grilled shrimp on the salad was literally the worst shrimp I've ever been served at a restaurant. Other than that, it's a great atmosphere and worth going to.
