Could the staff could be any more rude? What a great Friday night!

Female staff is rude for no reason over really simple questions. Not welcoming towards new queers, especially autistic queers lol. Yeehaw. Update approx 18months later : Since there’s not many safe places for women/afabs to dance in Richmond, I’ve returned to BABES a few times despite the unfriendly bar staff. Just want to give a heads up that it’s pretty much only drag set music from the early 2000s that gets played here. If that’s not your thing, you’re going to have a boring time dancing and watching 40 year olds vogue.

They lost my friends credit card and gave it to someone else! They have all the cards out on the back of the bar, where they could fall or get lost. They refused to comp her drinks, which is the least they can do. I personally asked Lauren to comp my friends drinks because they lost her card. She was rude and disrespectful and refused saying they didn't lose the card, but gave it to someone else, which is honestly worse! Lauren is a manager here and does not have the people skills to be a bar manager. Please comp my friend!

I’ve been a regular for years and for me this was a shocker, I had been out with friends and the bartender Chaz came up to us and told my friend that they couldn’t have spaghetti strap tank top on, which is fine and understandable” but yet two feet away from us was a cis gender fem individual but they did not in fact get the same correction despite having on the same type of top in as her.(my friend is trans femme) and to me this isn’t an issue with the dress code rather that if you’re gonna get onto people for this dress board then make sure it’s being given out between both cis and trans patrons just as equally. This is not right and not fair at all to clients. If you’re gonna respect us all then actually mean that.
