Africanne On Main - Richmond

My experience at Africanne on Main today was disappointing compared to past visits. I usually love the mixed greens, but they weren't as good today. The chicken meatballs were tasty, but they were served cold. I was dining inside and expected the food to be hotter. Considering the price, I believe the food should have been warmer.

I went to this restaurant for the first time and I will definitely be going back! The women working there were very kind and helpful in taking my order and recommending dishes to me. I ordered the curry fried chicken, Mac n cheese, fried trout, plantains, goat egusi with fufu, African fruit punch, and strawberry lemonade, all for $36! It was definitely worth it and I highly recommend it.

I always enjoy this restaurant!! The new location is truly amazing. I appreciate the layout and the food has consistently been top-notch. I love the variety of vegan and traditional options. The personal touch and cozy atmosphere in the heart of VCU are fantastic. The food is good and healthy, making you want to return for more.

This place is an institution that finally reopened after moving westward from their old location. Great to see them open again! Great buffet choices making a quick and easy lunch spot with seating available inside.

I dined at this restaurant on Friday and the food was amazing. However, when Saturday came, I woke up feeling really sick. I spent the whole weekend in the bathroom. It's now Monday and I still feel weak. I recommend checking the freshness of their food. I have never had a stomach bug last this long before. It could have been something old or spoiled.
