Slug Lettuce Richmond

The burger was overcooked, and the sub was undercooked. I had an early lunch and was very disappointed.

We were wonderfully attended to by Mischa, who was an excellent waitress! It was a lovely experience; we felt relaxed and enjoyed a pleasant afternoon.

This restaurant is conveniently located near the river, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal without spending too much. Although it can get quite loud, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The service was a bit slow, which wasn't too surprising given the bustling crowd. The rump steak, however, was excellent and very satisfying.

Unfortunately, my experience at the Slug and Lettuce was disappointing. The service was virtually nonexistent, and the quality of the food was very subpar. Our meals took a long time to be served, and we had to request both glasses and cutlery. Overall, it was quite appalling. Since we had to pay the full amount, including the service charge, before any food was delivered, there seems to be little motivation for the staff to uphold even basic standards. I would recommend opting for a fast food restaurant where you don't have expectations for service—it would be a better choice! This experience felt like a rip-off.

The food was enjoyable, but the staffing levels were inadequate. It was a busy match day in Twickenham, and unfortunately, there weren't enough employees to manage the crowd, which was disappointing. The staff worked hard, but they definitely needed more support.
