While it may seem a little run-down, you won't find better deep-fried chicken wings anywhere else. These crispy and addictive wings are marinated in a secret mix, including fermented tofu that gives them a unique umami flavor. Pair them with a cold Hong Kong-style milk tea to cool off in the current summer heat wave, or choose from their selection of cold iced lemon teas for those who are lactose-sensitive.
Exceptional broth, great choices for toppings and noodles. Wings are some of the best in town. Deep fried squid is delicious. Love the new space!
I visited this restaurant on a late Sunday afternoon and despite it being past the lunch hour, there was still a wait for a table. Luckily, the wait was not too long for the two of us. We ordered three pieces of their famous deep-fried chicken wings, as well as the noodle combos (which include hot/cold drinks). The chicken wings were decent, although not particularly outstanding (it's hard to go wrong with deep-fried food). We enjoyed the variety of toppings available for the noodles, which were different from what you usually find at other noodle places. The portion size was just right, leaving us satisfied without feeling overly full. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
If you are a fan of the famous ‘fried chicken wings’ from Wo Fung Noodle Express in Aberdeen Center, you’re going to be happy to know that they have opened up two stand alone noodle shops in Richmond! The first location opened up on Alexandra road (read my post about it here), and the second, newest location is on Park Road right next to Kumare.
Knowing that they are famous with their Deep Fried Chicken Wing, we went there on a Sunday lunch time, a table for 2.<br/ <br/ Ordered (of course) their signature dish : DF Chicken Wings; 2 bowls of 'Mix Match Noodles ' a bowl with Beef Tendon, Curried Fish Balls Pig Skin in thick rice noodles; another bowl with Squid, Beef Omasum Beef Honeycomb Tripe in oil noodles.<br/ <br/ The DF Chicken Wings were tasty (positive). Beef Tendon was also good (positive), Curried Fish Balls were ok. However, I did not like the way they serve the Pig Skin the texture was not tendor enough, they were cut in stripes not in slices (negative). Squid was tasteless (negative). Beef Omasum was ok. Beef Tripes were a bit too fatty, cut in slices instead of in stripes (negative). They should exchange the cutting method between the Pig Skin Beef Tripes.<br/ <br/ It was a Sunday busy afternoon but the service was good (many of the servers were part time students, I guess). They were very attentive and pleasant. Kudos to them!<br/ <br/ Overall comment : not as good as what I expected
