I work all over the lower mainland and routinely type in the word coffee to find the local smaller coffee shops to try. Starbucks, McDonald’s, Tim’s etc really is terrible coffee. Out of all the spots I’ve visited Viva Java is the best I’ve had. Started going back as often as I can and now buy beans here for my home brews.You won’t find a better Mocha anywhere in the Lower Mainland. Worth a drive if you live outside of Richmond. Grab a cup and go walk Steveston or Gary point Park and make a day of it
I'm already looking forward to tomorrow morning's cup of coffee. It's seriously amazing. I'll be riding the high of the mocha I ordered all day. I would detour a trip to go here.The shop itself is really neat too!
He said it'd be the best mocha we ever got, and wow was he right. The temperature, strength of the roast and the aroma are all perfect, same goes for the latte. Bought a bag to start and looking forward to trying all their beans. Might've just found the best coffee in town.This isn't an uptown coffee shop that's pretty to sit and take ins photos, but if you're serious about your coffee and looking for great beans, drop by and say hi to the lovely couple.
It’s extremely good coffee. One of the few coffee destination spots in the lower mainland.
