Tái Fēng Typhoon Bubble Tea Taiwanese Cuisine Tái Fēng Jiǎn Cān

I repeatedly called the restaurant to place my order, hoping to have it ready in the hot and humid weather, but no one answered. When I arrived, the service was disappointing—there was no greeting at all. My family and I are regular customers, but when I asked the server about the lack of service, I was told they were busy. Really? There were only three tables occupied with a total of six customers. If you want to attract business, please focus on providing better customer service. I decided not to leave a tip this time. Now, instead of a quick and easy pick-up, I’m stuck waiting for my order inside the restaurant.

This restaurant is a hidden gem for authentic Taiwanese braised beef noodles! I'm not usually a fan of soupy noodles, but I was completely captivated by the incredibly flavorful broth, the perfectly cooked al dente noodles, and the tender tendons and shanks, which are quite rare to find. I also tried their dumplings, but I wouldn't recommend those. The service was friendly, although a bit slow. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

I ordered teriyaki chicken fried rice, but instead, I received vegetable rice! What happened to my teriyaki chicken? I waited for 30 minutes, and although I've had positive experiences here in the past, this time was a letdown. I'm really disappointed.

If you're in the mood to feel like you've been overcharged, this is the spot for you! Just check out what we got in our two bowls of noodles. One bowl, which was an "add-on," cost $4.00, while the other, labeled as the "full order," cost us $10! However, when you look at the portions, they're exactly the same— the only distinction is that one comes with an egg. Seriously, what’s the deal?

The restaurant may be small, but the food was excellent. I ordered a variety of dishes to share with my friend and introduce her to Taiwanese cuisine. We enjoyed a vegetarian hot pot, chicken nuggets, and a beef wrap, and topped it all off with a few bubble teas. It's been a while since our visit, but I remember feeling wonderfully full afterward, as if my stomach was as hard as a rock from all the delicious food. I made sure to send her home with the leftovers so her family could try it as well. She later told me that her kids loved the food too, and I assured her that my stomach did as well! It was a busy night, but the servers were friendly and attentive. Thank you for creating such a positive experience for my European friend!
