Milltown Bar & Grill - Richmond

This pub has only been in business for less than two years but locals flock to the outdoor patios during the summer and to meet friends and listen to music on weekends in the cooler months. The view of boats in the Milltown Marina and watching the wildlife on the river is always a treat any time of year. The food choices are good from salads to entrees including steaks, fish, burgers and my favorite appetizer, the sauteed brussel sprouts. Yes, thats an appetizer! Weekends breakfasts are amazing and draw the urban bikers and hikers in the neighborhood. One too many drinks on your night out? They will drive you home within a fairly wide distance. I think this was a big draw in the beginning. The Milltown Bar and Grill is a big hit with both the locals and those who find out about it by word of mouth. This place is hard to find so do check a map first and forget about the Richmond address (it's in the middle of the river and Richmond won the toss for address) enter via Vancouver just west of the south end of Granville Street.

We learned about Milltown through word of mouth and cycled there for dinner. It's right on the Fraser River and across from YVR so if the planes are landing from the east on the northern runway, it's amazing for plane spotters. As for the food - excellent! The menu is varied and servings are plentiful.

Coming back thru Vancouver, we stopped here for dinner! Great food! Had calamari, fries-gravy-cheese curds and Brussels sprouts for table, all very good! Had the halibut burger, a great sandwich! Close to airport too!

Have been here many times since it opened. always very welcoming staff and owners Scotty and Paddy. Food is always good and good choices. Daily specials are also very good. Try the roast beef on a Sunday night....yum

Discovered this after trying out the new Arbutus Greenway cycle path. The path is great! The setting for the restaurant is good, looking out over the river & watching planes come & go. The staff were very friendly & helpful, my steak was a little to under cooked for me & it wasn't a problem to get it cooked a little more. But really just pub food, burgers, steaks & chips. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things.
