MaThai Hotpot Restaurant - Richmond

We were thrilled to try the May Thai Hotpot thanks to a Groupon deal for a hot pot meal for two at $27. The restaurant is situated on Alexandra Road, which is comparable to a restaurant row like La Cienega in Los Angeles (but not quite as upscale). The hot pot featured a good variety of seafood and other traditional hot pot ingredients, but the portions were smaller than expected, making it feel more like they were offering samples. However, for $13.50 per person (not including taxes and gratuity), what more can you really expect?

MaThai Hotpot opened just three months ago. The meat is very fresh and they offer all-you-can-eat hotpot and skewers. The place is clean and this was my first time there. I would highly recommend it.

This restaurant is actually very good. My friend and I had planned to go to Claypot, but it was closed around noon so we came here instead.
