Mambo Cafe - Richmond

Baked Seafood on Rice and the Baked Pork Chop were good. But DO NOT get the Beef, Shrimp Egg Swirl on Rice it's basically a container of rice with a few pieces of beef and shrimp. And the few pieces of beef were tough like Mike Tyson. Disappointing.

Went for dinner on a Sunday evening. Ordered the chicken and fried pork chop over rice. Came with mixed vegetables. Good portion for a reasonable price. Get there before they close at 7pm on Sunday, when the mall closes.

We had been told to check out the food court at the aberdeen center and I really wish I had more room to try all the tasty offerings. We decided to try out the mambo cafe. We ordered the baked pork chop and baked chicken. Both came with a tomatoey sauce, over rice. Both come with a hot drink, a cold drink is a 50cent upcharge. Altogether, two meals just shy of 20 CAD. Both were delicious. If the mall was closer to where we were staying, I think we would have tried something new daily!

If you are in Aberdeen Mall ,do not miss this place in the food court ,they well know for their Baked rice dishes ,(it takes less 15/20 mins wait they are Hong Kong style Cafe ,lot to choices from ,their curries is not too shabby at all ,good price ,good portion .for food court standers.

Let's just say this place is probably the best spot in the mall. They have all sorts of dishes for a nice lunch. I always order the baked pork chop on rice or the Indonesian Fried Rice. Prices are good and includes a hot beverage. If you're unsure which food stand to pick, try this place. You'll want to come back every week.
