Imperial City Bistro - Richmond

It's the neighbourhood Chinese Beijing Cusinie restaurant and mostly we only visited at lunch time! Foods alright and price a little high, like a set lunch for 2 nearly $60 ( but enough for 3 )... and their very famous one is Chinese Fritters, and temporary I found it's the best in town, and we always eat it with sweet or normal soya bean milk ! And other foods just normal and not as good as before.

This little restaurant has been around for almost 5 years now in this little corner of Richmond. It retains an authentic atmosphere as a place serving upscale Shanghai style food. Over the numerous times we've visited, I can't recall having a bad meal and the food is quite consistent over time. The audience primarily aimed at are the native speaking Chinese that live nearby and although the staff are very friendly and helpful, ability to speak Mandarin is an asset when visiting. Some of the classic dishes are done expertly here such as mapo tofu, the hot and sour soup, Beijing duck and Xiao long baos. Like all Chinese restaurants, the experience is much better with a large gang of diners. A very good place to eat without travelling to the center of Richmond. Just brush up on a few Mandarin phrases.

The last review I wrote about the imperial city bistro was in and now it is still a favorite restaurant, with very attentive staff, tasty shanghainese dimm sum and dishes, the venue has plentiful and easy free parking! highly recommended! reserve...for what to do. open daily for lunch and dinner

This restaurant has become our local favorite for Chinese cuisine. sweet and acidic pork is delicate, and the spicy green beans and the xiao long bao are our dishes.

I came today with my family after reading reviews about this place and found the eating and service was excellent and I would recommend that they give it a try. would recommend that they make a reservation as this place is very busy when. they come here with more than person.
